Colt Starting

My Colt Starting program has evolved and shifted over the years. At this time, my program is shifting to longer stays, with priority given to the longest stays. I am progressing my horsemanship into more refinement and a larger skillset, heavily focused on connection, focus, and precise communication.

I am currently requiring a 6 month minimum stay for any horses in my program, and spots will be extremely limited so that I have the amount of time to dedicate to these wonderful animals.

Things I will focus on in my training program (unique to each horse):

     * Connection

     * Focus

     * 2-way communication

     * Liberty work

     * Bridleless work

     * Bringing a horse into the bridle from the snaffle

     * More refined maneuvers (spins, correct stops, leg                yield, side-pass, flying lead change, etc.)

     * Tricks
